Featured Librarians

I was wondering if there was way to block certain people from showing up in featured librarians? For example, we have created accounts for our IT folks, grad assistants, faculty etc who should not show up as a "featured librarian." Thanks! Angela

To be 100% sure you could select a single user to be your featured librairan - rather than letting LibGuides select one at random - and then manually change the user every week or two. If you use the "random" selection then LibGuides will pull from the selected set of users, either:

1) all users
2) users that own at least one published guide
3) users that own at least one guide, no matter the status

Perhaps if you selected option #2 that would work? I think it would be the best bet, unless your IT department and graduate students are creating their own published guides.; ▶ Reply to This
