Has anyone done anything clever or interesting using LibGuide content in WordPress? My college has an installation of WordPressMU that is used for course blogs, among other things. It would be great if there was some plugin for WordPress that could display LibGuides content in some way. Any ideas out there?

Hi Stephen,

Welcome aboard! While we do not have any specific WP plugins (it's a good idea though, we'll definitely explore this further), we do have LibGuides widgets which you can easily embed in WP (or anywhere else, for that matter). Our widgets are wrutten in adobe flash so they can be embedded on any html page.

You can create any number of widgets which will display the info about your guides. Log on to My Admin, and under "Widgets & API" tab select "Widgets". This will take you to the widget creation screen. For WP sidebars we recommend the small widget, while if you want to put the widget in the main content area of your blog you can go with the wide widget.

Let us know if that is what you had in mind...

That's pretty much what I was after. Thanks!

You could also make use of the APIs to add content into WP templates or posts.
